Insulation Benefit

Insulation dramatically reduces heat loss through the insulated wall therefore you will be able to achieve the same temperature in your home by turning your thermostat down by a little.

Your property should still achieve the desired warmth because the house will retain its temperature for longer.

It can also be noted that during the summer the insulated cavity will prevent some of the suns heat from entering the walls, therefore, keeping your home cooler.

Depending on your circumstances, you could even get home insulation measures free. Even if you don’t meet the criteria though we can still offer you a great deal of £149* per measure.

Installing loft insulation (0–270mm) could save you around £205 a year on your energy bills. Installing cavity wall insulation could you save you around £160 a year.

Insulating cavity walls provides one of the biggest energy savings in the home, reducing heat loss through the wall by up to 60%

It is generally suitable for properties built after the 1930s, where the external walls are made up of two layers with a ‘cavity’ between them.

The insulation is installed by drilling small holes in the mortar between the bricks and then pumping in the insulation material. This will take a couple of hours. The holes are then filled back in.

Loft insulation stops heat escaping through the top of your home, the heat in your home will rise but loft insulation will help prevent it all escaping through your roof.

By installing loft insulation to a depth of at least 270mm, you could save over a third of your heating costs.

Loft insulation usually takes a couple of hours to install. It is simply rolled out and laid flat across the loft floor, between and over the joists if they are visible.
